This week I’m sharing one of my favorite stories.
Sometimes it’s easier to see ourselves in a story about someone else, and I’m pretty sure everyone will be able to see themselves in today’s video.
The story illustrates the idea that arguing with what’s actually happening in the moment can cause us stress and divert us from experiencing the moment.
I’m curious, have you ever thrown a tantrum as an adult? What do you most frequently argue with reality about? Leave a comment below!
So in this story I just kept thinking about how the adult should of said to the kid ‘you know the Ice will melt right ?’. Despite that I understand the point completely. I have done this more times than I would like. I actually have a live in the moment mentality about lots of other things, when I go to buy something I often don’t plan where I just see where takes my fancy and nine times out of ten they have what I’m looking for. I tend to let the universe guide me in this way.
Ha! Perhaps all of life should come with such warnings, ‘You know sometimes your computer will crash, people will let you down, things will take longer than expected…” 😉
Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your perspective Natty!
