Last week I shared Andrea’s story, which you can read here.
As the weeks of January go by, there’s something that can happen that you really need to be aware of.
When you begin the year you might be full of determination that this will be the year when you WILL do the work to change everything for yourself and you will make leaving the job that’s taking every bit of your energy a priority.
You start back at work after the holidays and it’s the same old same old. You just keep on with all you have to do and then head to the office cookie tin.
You put your dreams of something better to one side.
You think, “maybe if I just try harder I can get this to work, maybe the next promotion will make the difference.”
You think “I need to keep doing this to maintain my lifestyle.”
This is a gentle nudge to help you remember that it’s your choice.
You could just remain in your current job, or you could find your right work instead.
The right fit is out there, and the Cardy Career Coaching team can help you to get there.
Polly went to a great college, but it didn’t provide the career advice that she needed to springboard to her right career.
She ended up in a profession through one thing leading to another. It wasn’t a great fit for who she was, what she was good at and what her needs were.
She felt isolated and very stuck. She decided to work with the Cardy Career Coaching team with her own individual Career Clarity Coach.
Polly successfully moved across the country and changed jobs.
Polly found work that had the teamwork and collaborative elements that she, as an extrovert, loves.
Polly found work with a high degree of autonomy.
She feels that she is continuing to learn and develop in her career.
Polly is taking on more of a leadership role in her organization.
Polly has happily stayed in the same role for four years since working with the Cardy Career Coaching team.
