“I hate my life.”
During some recent spring cleaning, I was stunned to find a note I’d written over ten years ago.
It was a half sheet of paper covered in sentences that all began with the words “I hate”.
I hated everything from my job to my commute to my hairstyle to how I felt each day to everything in between.
I hated my life.
Whoa.
I’d forgotten all those feelings because they’re such a far cry from how life feels today.
Words are powerful, so I wound up tossing that old note.
I sat down with a new sheet of paper and curiosity about my life today.
“I love my life.”
I love everything from my work to my clients to my community to the challenges I get to learn from to everything in between.
Huh.
I’ve been asking people recently what they used to think was impossible that they now know to be possible.
This is my answer.
