Jamie’s Story: I Love My New Role
I’d spent a year at a job that looked like my dream job, but wasn’t. In that environment I felt like an idiot. There was no way to get it right. My confidence as a professional was beaten down. It was really stressful. I was doubting that I was good for anything.
I wanted some structure to guide me. Before coaching I genuinely did not know what I wanted. I knew it wasn’t a good idea to apply aimlessly. Through the coaching I went through a deliberate process of figuring out what I wanted.
I Saw the Best of Me Reflected From My Coach
My coach and I did a lot of re-centering myself personally. I needed to re-connect with myself and work through the fears that had been ignited by that bad work environment. My coach was so warm, supportive, and generous with her thoughts. I saw the best of me reflected from her.
I Learned to Work From a Place of Confidence
From the coaching I learned to work from a place of confidence. I determined what I wanted and where I wanted to go. In fact, I was able to identify the specific thing I wanted. That position came my way, and I was able to take it. Without coaching I wouldn’t have known it was what I wanted. I love my new role. It really feels so different.
